Filtering and Search

Find documents quickly with search and filter options.

File Tree Search

The search bar at the top of the file tree provides instant filtering:

  1. Click the search bar or press / to focus
  2. Type your search term
  3. Results filter instantly as you type
  4. Matching folders automatically expand to show results

Document Search

Search Behavior

Global Search

Use the global command menu to find documents across your workspace:

  1. Press Cmd/Ctrl + K to open the command menu
  2. Type your search terms
  3. Document matches appear in the results
  4. Click a result to open the document

Search indexes document names for quick access.

Finding Documents

By Name

Use the file tree search for quick name-based filtering:

  1. Focus the search bar
  2. Type part of the document name
  3. View matching documents instantly

By Content

Use global search to find documents containing specific text:

  1. Open global search (Cmd/Ctrl + K)
  2. Type your search terms
  3. Look for document results
  4. Click to open and view context

By Tags

While tag-based filtering is in development, you can:

  1. Open the Properties tab when viewing a document
  2. See assigned tags
  3. Use consistent tagging for easier discovery

By Owner

Documents show their owner in the Properties tab. To find your documents:

  1. Look for documents you've created
  2. Check the Properties tab for ownership
  3. Use global search if needed

  • Use descriptive document names
