Issue Details

The detail view provides full access to an issue's content, metadata, and activity history.

Click any issue ID or title to open the full detail view.

Issue Detail View

Main Content Area

The left side of the detail view shows:

  • Title - Editable issue name
  • Description - Rich text editor for detailed information
  • Sub-issues - Break down complex work into smaller tasks
  • Activity - Timeline of all changes and comments

Metadata Sidebar

The right sidebar displays and allows editing of:

Activity Timeline

The activity section shows a complete history of the issue:

  • Comments - Team discussions and updates
  • Field changes - Toggle "Show field changes" to see all edits
  • Creation - When and by whom the issue was created

Add comments to collaborate with your team or document decisions.

Working with Sub-issues

Break down complex work into manageable pieces using sub-issues.

Creating Sub-issues

  1. Open the parent issue detail view
  2. In the Sub-issues section, click the + button
  3. Enter the sub-issue title and details
  4. The sub-issue is automatically linked to the parent

Progress Tracking

The parent issue displays a progress indicator showing:

  • Number of completed sub-issues
  • Total sub-issues
  • Visual progress bar

Tags and Organization

Use tags to categorize and filter your issues.

Adding Tags

  1. In the detail view, find the Tags section
  2. Click the + button to add a tag
  3. Select existing tags or create new ones
  4. Tags appear as colored badges on the issue

Filtering by Tags

Click the Tags filter button to show only issues with specific tags. This is useful for viewing all issues related to a particular feature, sprint, or category.

Milestone Integration

Link issues to milestone steps for project tracking.

Linking to Milestones

  1. Open the issue detail view
  2. In the Step section, click to select a milestone step
  3. The issue now appears when filtering by that milestone

Viewing Milestone Issues

From the Milestones app, click Navigate to Issues on any step to see all linked issues. This helps track progress against your project plan.
