IntroductionFile Preview Panel
View file details, versions, and related information in the preview panel.
Clicking on any file opens a detailed preview panel on the right side of the screen.
Preview Sections
The preview panel contains these collapsible sections (in order):
| Section | Description |
|---|---|
| File Details | File ID, size, dates, owner, and visibility |
| Version History | List of all file versions |
| Related | Connected milestone steps and linked records |
| Tags | File categorization labels |
| Activity | Comments and change history |
| Preview | Visual preview for images; placeholder for other types |
Editing File Details
In the preview panel, you can:
- Change the owner by clicking on the owner field
- Add tags using the tag selector
- Link to records like issues or meetings
- Add comments in the activity section
File Preview Types
Different file types display different previews:
| File Type | Preview |
|---|---|
| Images | Full visual preview |
| PDFs | File icon with "PDF preview coming soon" message |
| Text Files | File icon with "Text preview coming soon" message |
| Other | File type icon with "Preview not available" message |
Quick Actions
At the bottom of the preview panel, you can:
- Download the currently selected file version
- Upload New Version to add a new version of the file
- Delete the file (if you have permission)
